Timely care

It is our objective that you receive care at the right time, but if for any reason, you have to wait too long, this is what applies.

The 30-minute rule

If you have booked a time for an appointment and have to wait for more than 30 minutes, you have the right to a refund of the fee you paid at the counter upon arrival. You must, however, ask for a refund before you leave the clinic. In that case, you must also retain the stamp on the high-cost card.

The 30-minute rule does not, of course, apply when visiting out-of-hours or emergency clinics. Nor if you are visiting a free clinic.

The care guarantee

If you are referred to us from another care provider, you should not need to wait for more than 30 days for your first appointment.

Once a decision has been made on treatment, you should not need to wait for more than 90 days for treatment to start. There is an exception if there are medical reasons for the waiting time, e.g. if you need to recover from a serious illness before we can start your treatment.

What is the care guarantee?

The care guarantee is a statutory part of the Health and Medical Care Act. The guarantee defines within which time limits you must be offered care by the county council or the region.

If you have to wait too long, you can exercise your right to the care guarantee. You can contact the Care Guarantee Registrar on tel. 08-123 134 00.
